Farmersville Department of Public Works is responsible for the safe collection, transportation, and treatment of all wastewater generated by residential, industrial, and commercial customers in the City of Farmersville. Our current wastewater treatment plant was constructed in the 1960's and has been expanded several times in order to handle the waste from a growing city. It currently is capable of treating up to 1.2 million gallons of waste per day.
A new modern wastewater treatment plant is to begin construction in the fall of 2015.
What we do:
We maintain and service the city's sanitary sewer system that runs throughout the city.
We maintain and operate the city's wastewater treatment plant.
