The Farmersville Police Department Explorer Post Number 830 is a program that introduces young people to Law Enforcement as a career. The Explorer Adviser along with the co-advisers take the Explorers through a wide variety of law enforcement subject matter similar to what they would encounter at a police academy. 

In addition Explorers participate in a ride-along program with patrol officers as well as having the opportunity to assist patrol staff on special events such as the Memorial Day Parade and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. 

The Explorers also participate in fund raising events for their program such as:

• Parking details at the Tulare County Farm Equipment Show
• Parking details at the Tulare County Fair
• Parking details at the Kings County Fair
• Events at the Mazda Speedway at Laguna Seca. 

Our goal is to have an enriching educational experience for young members of our community that have a desire to see if a career in law enforcement is right for them.
