Requirements

In order to be eligible to participate in the Farmersville Explorer Program and become a member of Explorer Post 830 you must meet the following requirements.

• Must be 13 to 20 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation
• You will be required to submit a typewritten essay along with your application.
• You will be required to submit a grade report with your application and must maintain a minimum 2.0 G.P.A.
• You will be required to submit two letters of reference along with your application.
• If under the age of 18 you must have the permission of and the support of your parents or guardian to participate in the program.
• You must have No felony convictions of any kind.

As an explorer you will be expected to:

• maintain a good working relationship with other Explorers and Department Staff.
• Attend at least two Post meetings per month.
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
• Maintain a good relationship with school staff at all times.
• Maintain and exhibit good moral and ethical behavior at all times.
• You must not use alcohol or drugs at any time.
• You cannot have any type of gang affiliation
• You must not have any type of derogatory or discriminatory material on any social media accounts.
• You must show and maintain a general interest in law enforcement a related activities.
