At the core of the Farmersville Police Department is the Patrol Unit which is its largest and most visible component. The Patrol Unit provides 24 hour police services to the community. Officers within the division generally work in uniform and drive “marked” (black and white) police cars.
The purpose of the Patrol Unit is to provide “first response” to requests for police services and to reduce crime, the fear of crime, circumstances that foster criminal activity and other conditions that adversely impact public safety.
