Crime: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Occurred: Farmersville Blvd. and Walnut St., Farmersville, CA.

On September 11, 2020 at approximately 10:10 PM an officer of the Farmersville Police Department drove up on what was found to be the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon in the area of Farmersville Blvd and Walnut St. near the Sinclair service station. The officer found an adult female in her vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to her cheek and jaw area of her face.
The officer immediately rendered aid and called for emergency medical services and additional patrol units. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim’s infant child was in the vehicle in a car seat at the time however was uninjured during the incident. The victim advised that she had just made the left hand turn onto south Farmersville Blvd from Walnut Ave when another vehicle pulled up alongside of her. She heard what she believed to be three or four gunshots and then realized she had been struck in the face and injured. The victim was able to provide a description of a vehicle that was believed too have been involved in the incident.
The vehicle is described as a brown or dark colored late model Jeep Cherokee or Compass. The attached photo is a screen shot from surveillance video later obtained by detectives.
