Crime:                        Vehicle vs Pedestrian Traffic Accident

Location:                   East Bound Visalia Road and Shasta Street Farmersville, CA

Victim:                       37-year-old Hispanic Male 

            On December 11, 2016 at approximately 5:09 PM a black Honda Accord was traveling east bound on Visalia Road approaching Shasta St. in the City of Farmersville. An adult female pedestrian was crossing Visalia Rd. just west of Shasta St. and the driver of the black Honda swerved to avoid striking the female. The driver then lost control of his vehicle striking the south curb and going partially up onto the sidewalk striking an adult male pedestrian that was walking on the sidewalk. The vehicle continued through a wrought iron fence and came to rest against a power pole. The pedestrian that was struck suffered major injuries and was determined to be deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel. Neither the driver of the vehicle or the female pedestrian suffered any injuries as a result of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle and the female pedestrian were both interviewed and released from the scene after providing a statements.  

The investigation is ongoing however there is no further information is available at this time.
