Crime:                        246 P.C./245 PC Shooting into an Inhabited Dwelling and Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Location:                   800 Block of North Rose Street Farmersville, CA

Victim:                       17-year-old Female

            On May 25, 2017 at approximately 10:35 PM Officers of the Farmersville Police Department were dispatched to a report of a drive-by shooting that had occurred in the 800 block of North Rose Street. Upon arrival officers located the residence that had been shot at and found there was a 17-year-old female that had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and called for emergency medical response. The victim was subsequently transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with serious injuries.

            Further investigation revealed that one or two vehicles opened fire on the residence, firing numerous rounds as they drove by. The vehicles were described as a dark colored midsized SUV and a lighter colored 4 door sedan. The two vehicles were last seen fleeing east bound on Front Street.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
